If you have an SL2 or SC2 DOHC that uses oil, here’s what you do to stop it. If you dump it directly in the cylinders, turn it over with the plugs out before you actually fire it up as this product doesn’t combust easily. It could hydrolock the motor if there’s too much down there.

Thanks for the comments. It's a 2001 model year. I had good luck with zmax and marvel mystery oil. My oil consumption levels were similar to yours Emil. The gauge cluster is swapped from a pontiac torrent. The saturn forums have guidelines on what clusters will work in the cars. There's a few different options!
Where did you get your gauges? Those are a nice improvement from stock.
