Saturn S Series Water Pump Replacement

Saturn S Series Water Pump Replacement

My 1999 Saturn SC2 (118k miles) was leaking coolant. I got under the car with it running, but did not see anything from the hoses. I also loosened the serpentine belt and wiggled the water pump pulley to see if there was any play, but there was not. I then jacked it up and removed the front passenger side wheel to get access. This video will help you get to the right place in the engine at the right time and is edited down to keep it fairly short. I am a “shade tree” mechanic who is willing to try new things if I have some guidance, so please don’t take my word as Gospel. I hope this video shows you the difficulty level of the job so you can make up your mind if you should try it or leave it to the pros.
