I did this same job about 4 years ago on my daughter’s car. Since then, she
has sold that car and I gave her my SW2. Well, same thing has now happened
with that car. She was lucky enough to get it to go back into 1st. and limp
it home. Thanks for the video, I remember everything that I had to go
through to change those cables last time, AND, I will be removing the shift
tower this time, that was a great suggestion. Also, I hadn’t thought about
removing the inner fender splash guard, another good tip. I thought that I
remembered that grommet going through the firewall being bolted in, but I
guess not. The hardest part of the job for me was that grommet and getting
those large locking brackets back on under the hood. Thanks for an
excellent video, my job will be much easier now!!

Great Video, I drove my car all day and my shifter cable popped out in the
engine compartment right as I pulled into my driveway too, crazy. I got a
new one from Advance, it comes with a new bushing installed already, the
part got good and bad reviews but I need to fix it fast so I am rolling the
dice, it was 50 bucks with a coupon. Anyway, thanks for the video.

The cables came from the dealer last time so maybe any for repair. I
noticed the set I bought on ebay have the bolts too.
