Are the lifters on the LLO self adjusting ?

You should also lubricate the threads and under the head of the cap of the bolt before you torque down the heads. Good vid nonetheless.

Great job on the video, just thought I might mention that when you rotate any moving parts of the motor that you should rotate in a clockwise direction… not sure why and if this has worked for you it must not be as big a deal as the manual makes it out to be.

Thank you very much for the compliment. For videos there are many good ones on youtube by ‘richpin06a’ that cover most facets of the Saturn s-series cars. Additionally if you aren’t already a member then go to saturnfans, com forums. That is where I learned to work on my Saturn and I always ask advice there when I need it. At that forum you can find walkthroughs on most repairs and get custom advice from experts. Best wishes!

Awsome video an good info. It helps ALOT!! You definatly need to post more saturn engine stuff. I wanna know more. I have a manual for my car. Which is a 93 saturn sl2, but you can only get so much from a manual. I enjoy videos alot more. By the way do you know anywhere i could buy like saturn repair videos for my car? Like walk through kinda stuff? Maybe ask your highly experienced an qualified friends?? Thank you.l

Thanks, I’m posting videos as I work my way through my projects. Keep in mind I’m not a pro but I do try to do my homework in advance. 🙂

Super, I am very glad. I’m no pro but I have been tinkering for about 10 years. I do a lot of research and have highly experienced and qualified friends coach me. Then when I do it I try to put that knowledge into a video to build a library that might help others. I’m very glad to hear that it helped you, thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, I got my head from them too. This is for my 95 DOHC which has 2 coolant sensors. I’m using a 97 (one sensor) block but ordered the dual sensor head for a 95. I though I was going to have to drill and tap it, nope. As far as plugging the upper hole I suppose if you can’t find a bolt to fit you could use another ECTS sensor as a plug. What did you end up using? I just did my timing kit this weekend, posted a vid of it in hopes of helping others.

Brenda Agnew says:

thank you that really helped me even tho I’m working on a dodge stratus but it was the same concept

Awesome video man !!. I just did my ’98 Saturn sl2 head and new timing kit. Just finished today. I got mine from J&C off Ebay. Did yours come with two coolant sensor ports ? And if so what did you use to plug the upper hole ?
