Do you have to disconnect the battery before start?

This helps. I found this while looking for EGR Valve replacement. For 2004 Ion with 2.2 L ( Thanks google for the bad search results. ). Going to go like the PVC valve? Don't need EGR yet, but Innova scan tool thinks I will be needing one soon.

Changed my pcv valve in seconds!
Thanks so much!

@SimplySomething2 says:

The PVC is in the intake manifold and can be replaced by removing the manifold.

Appreciate the reminder about the PCV valve. Reminds me of how many times a shop (including my Saturn Dealership Sales Staff back in the day) "forgot" that my specific ION doesn't have a CVT nor Hydraulic Power Steering.

Have changed A LOT of Gas Caps in the last 20 years… May be time to check if that part needs TLC. (Seems easy enough to check function… Maybe even cheap enough?? to just buy/replace "just in case".

Thank you, I'd never changed this part before. Once again the Saturns have a much easier process than expected.
