This video will guide you step by step on how to replace the release film on the Saturn 4 Ultra.
We’ve highlighted important tips along the way, such as:
0:55
– The release film has no front or back orientation; either side can be used.
– Try to maintain an equal distance from all four edges of the build plate.
1:07 & 2:00
During assembly, use the diagonal screw-tightening method.

wish it came with that toool D:
I just had to replace my FEP this morning after a failed print where a bit of resin stuck to the FEP and put a small hole in it
It's a pain in the behind to do it but it seems to go more smoothly each time i do it and it's easier than replacing the LCD screen when resin gets into it
The amount of screws you have to take out for this is insane. You could not of come up with something a little more user friendly??
Amazing I have to use 3 different bits to open all that screws. No german engineering 🙂 Thank you for the yt, all process shown.
So i need to get foam cube in a very specific size now?
Just found this after replacing my film for the first time….. no where did it say to put a foam block to aid film tension and my film seemed a lot tighter that that one. Is it going to bust?
Saturn 4 ultra print one round good and 4 rreally bad you should make videos of trouble shooting couse this making me nuts!!
does anyone know what size tool I need for the screws on the ring holding the fep? I seem to have misplaced the wrenches and need to buy new ones but I do not know what size to get.
How about when the one Elegoo sent you is leaky from the start and completely ruins your printer and then the AI chat bot just spams you with links to replacement parts instead of being even remotely helpful?
Elegoo why no spacer under the fep when installing it i use 6mm to 8mm bottle cap is it needed as your not showing it in your video
I had a Saturn 2 and now have a Saturn 4 Ultra. Guys I beg of you, come up with something better in design to replace this FEP. It sucks. There has to be some way to engineer a clamp method. Next up is the build plate on the Saturn 4 Ultra. I hate it. It is difficult to pull of prints without getting Resin everywhere. Yes you have the bib but the bib doesn't work with large prints. There has to be a better solution. My suggestion would be to greatly increase the angle of the bottom plate. Right now it is small and some resin stays on it.
same procedure for mars 5 ultra?
Ok, after having replaced mine with the included tools (it actually wasn't that bad but it would seem more possible if you guys used your own stuff) I learned through some facebook groups you don't want to ratchet down the screws that secure the plate to the vat itself. Mine was super tight. I was told on FB that it should have a low pitch if you give it a lit flick. It would be nice to tell us what a successful install is. Just replacing the film isn't enough from what I'm being told. So maybe include your recommendations, elegoo, on how the the screws should be used and how the final result should feel. That would be immensely helpful to us noobs.
It would be handy to list the tools you're using and a link to them on amazon. I noticed you're not using the supplied allen wrenches and after having tried to puncture the film with the flat screws I can see why you're using an allen wrench with a handle on it. Also could you really not manage to throw in an 80x80x8 block of foam? I mean really where do I find one of those?! I ended up using a piece from the shipping foam – thankfully I kept all of the packaging. It wasn't perfect as it measured around 9 or 10mm high. I would happily trade the pair of single use gloves and mask for the right piece of foam. Or maybe supply it with your FEP kit. And it wouldn't hurt to mention the size of the allen wrench in the video here just for completeness and while I have mine I'd like to know their sizes.
Any video for how to do levelling on Saturn 4 Ultra?
Elegoo how can we fix the elefant foot when printing in the 4 ultra?
