You may want to check to see if there’s a broken wire between the drives side door and body of the vehicle. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I have a problem with my windows, but I don’t know what it could be. First, the rear right window stopped working. Neither my master button or the rear button worked to roll it down. Then, all of the windows stopped working. One day I tried to roll down two of my windows & it worked but it stopped working while they were rolled down so now they are stuck down. The only window that works is the front passenger & it only works with their button. What could the problem be? I know it’s not a fuse.
if both mirrors have the same issue then it is safe to say that it is going to either be the switch or a fray wire for the up position.
I have a problem with both my side mirrors, they’ll move in any direction except up. So I’m assuming it’s the switch, so all I would have to do is pry it out and replace it?
The issue could be related to either a bad BCM or it could be from a faulty wiring harness grounding out the wiring. You might want to check all the fuses and then move onto the wiring in the vehicle.
Hi Sean, We typically do carry the parts that we have an auto repair video for. At the current time, we do not have a source for this particular part. Thanks for calling and checking. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
You may want to check the wire harness that goes between the driver side door and the body of the car to see if there’s a broken or a frayed wire in there. If there is it would more than likely also cause a loss of power to the window switch.
I had a problem with m 03 Ion Quad Coupe where the passenger side window would go down, but not back up. The driver side power door lock also doesn’t work, but the passenger side does. Chevy dealership told me it was the body control module and a $900 repair. With my brothers help, a Hayes manual and a couple hours, it was a switch issue. Technically it’s still not repaired, but we ran a bypass directly from the battery and got the window to go up and down. $0 fix > $900 dealership ripoff.
That’s a very common place to loose power due to a broken wire.
I thought that my switch was bad again. Both rear windows would not work and the driver side also. I had to end up pulling the wiring harness out for the door. I found a broken ground wire on the wiring harness inside the rubber boot between the door and the car. There were also two other wires about ready to brake.
