r.i.p. pontiac

Eric Hannes says:

Lousy car. Never started in winter. Oil consumption was awful. I traded a escort wagon on a new one……I wanted my escort back.

Brian Donnelly says:

We had a 2004 Saturn Vue V6 ( honda engine ) it was OK until 104K engine … then the oil pump bolt came loose ,,$890 later ,,, traded it in

Savage Dragon says:

Scotty, your videos just keep getting better. Film-wise, content- wise, information-wise, and overall quality. Keep up the good work.

Ron B says:

My first car was a 91 Firebird. I loved it! Lasted for 180,000 miles. It was worth it. I have a 2nd gen Formula now

Chuck Gladfelter says:

Saturn was a good car. My wife had a 1994 SL-2 and it was very reliable. The SUVs had bad CVT transmissions, though. I don't think GM really ever made money on the Saturn line as it was a separate division where parts weren't interchangeable with other GM cars. There also isn't a large profit margin on small cars.

Dennis W says:

2nd gen are my favorites for Firebirds

Brian JOnker says:

Rev up your Saturns for take off

john tracy says:

Because they sucked like a Sega Saturn.

Iridion Prime says:

What kind of doofus blows 8 grand on a dodge durango rebuild lmao

Adrian Lemus says:

I bought a 2004 Saturn Ion 1 back in 2014, when it had 168,000 miles on it for $4000. Almost 5 years later, it has 260,000 miles and still runs great.

LAmonk76 says:

Only had 1 GM car. . It was a 94 SL2 with 24k in 2004. Was OK till about 60k on it. was always needing oil between oil changes
sensors were needing to be replaced, coolant tank, leaking valve body gasket and the odo stopped before 90k. got rid of it right away and never looked back/ I know someone with a 01 SL2 bought new and now with 2 long blocks that burned oil and 3 trans, the last one was in the shop for months. with about 185k now, I keep saying what Scotty says. . go with a Toyota.

Doug N says:

Scotty says go to a junkyard and shows a Mercedes dealership…lol

Doug N says:

Was that a joint over the GM logo?
LOL

Tanner Paulson says:

Had a 2006 saturn ion redline supercharged, only 550 ever made in the color I had, half of that sent to US, and a predicted 40 left in the US when I owned it. Funnest little car I ever had!

Jesus Esparza says:

I got a '99 Saturn SL2 automatic with 96,000 miles.. really reliable vehicle took it on long road trips

Montemex23 says:

Man I have only driven Toyota’s my entire life and I’m gonna stick to them lol

itsLean ★ says:

Scotty please help ! The hydraulic steering pump in my '81 Ford Taunus (similar to Falcon) is shaking a lot after tensing the belt. Belt was loose and pump support was not correctly tightened to the block of the engine, so I tightened those bolts and readjusted the belt. Pulley seems to be aligned ok. Engine is not shaking too much to be the cause, it seems to be the pump (it makes the hole car shake a little bit!) Is it a pump issue? May it be that the pump was shaking already and that loosened the bolts in the first place? Is it dangerous? Thank you!

Dana W says:

Where I live heater season is eight months out of the year. Heater core goes, you have to fix it or you have a car you can use from May to about November first.

BIGH1001 says:

Hey scotty. Did you ever work on/drive any pontiac gto's, caprice ppv's or chevy ss'? These were australian imports, what are your thoughts on these cars?

John Smith says:

I have a daily driver. It is a 92 Saturn with manual tranny. Over 400,000 miles and running strong. Gave 500 dollars for it in 2003. New GM cars will never do this.

Kevin Lopez says:

Love you Scotty. Thanks for all the information!!

Detomaso Pantera says:

Well the Saturn was really an Opel with a GM body on it.
The SUVs however after the Honda V6s they started puting engines and trannys build in China…get it now?
Junk…
