Hammer to work on car = doing it right

empeters1 says:

Richpin06, Thanks for this and all of your other Saturn video’s! I have a
question for you concerning the stabilizer bar bushings. Can the brackets
holding the bushing/stabilizer bar be removed, one at a time, to replace
the bushings or does the bar have to be completely removed first? Thanks!

ItsAlwaysRusty says:

Great Video. Saturn really seems to have done things different than other
makes. Engineering seems to be simpler than Hondas etc..

winterskysteve says:

Sorry fender indeed, wing in the UK

RoniisH says:

@Carfixing101 Sorry, no.

winterskysteve says:

Excellent video Rich but whats the wings made from plastic?

axenz axtiz says:

wangbungal says:

them!!

CHIBA280CRV says:

Hey Rich you have been changing parts on that car in just about every
video, maybe it is time to upgrade to something LOL, just kidding , if you
were to get something new there would not be anymore videos!!!!!are you
going to make one on the fender replacement? i will wait and see! later
dude..J.

TOMOFONO says:

@TOMOFONO No, the metal bushing and bolt are seized good. Rubber bits
everywhere and no movement.

Dre Lebel says:

Good Vid Rich, I found on my 00 SC@ I was able to do the bar without taking
the control are out tho. It was a tour but to get it back in was pretty
simple, get one side in the arm and befor bolting it to the sub-frame just
get a pry bar against the rim and pry the bar into the other arm….I also
had the car on a hoist tho,

richpin06a says:

Getsaturnparts still have a listings for them.

winterpegmanitoba says:

Thanks for the great video, I also live in a cold and snow belt but in
Winnipeg, Manitoba, I wasn’t sure My Stabilizer bar needed changing until
the snow and ice came and now find it difficult keeping in my lane, other
symptoms were when turning I’d hear a popping, clunking noise and suspected
a ball joint and replaced that but the problem persist, a little online
research points to the sway bar, it’s going to warm up to minus 6 this
weekend and that’s when I’m changing it

richpin06a says:

The angle of the bar prevents it from being removed till one of the arms
are off.

fullthrottle17 says:

Love your videos Rich, Keep it up!

LefloreGraphixTV says:

thank you so much!!!!

DALE97DSM says:

@richpin06a 1995 to 1999 eagle talon, if you have a neighbour, maybe a
friend that has a son with one or relative. These cars a cursed by this and
strut towers also. Its due to wet and winter climates mostly its road salt.
Should similar to other cars also,

Nelson Vega says:

Thank you I look forward to it. Your kindness is exceeded only by your
mechanical knowledge and your ability to present it to us.

DALE97DSM says:

Hey, Rich can you do a video in near future of replacing the Lower Radiator
support.

richpin06a says:

@414Dre Thank you for sharing that.

Bill Tonge says:

Hey Richpin. Can you buy all the bushings to fix a control arm yourself or
do you have to buy new control arms

Derek Hummel says:

@richpin06a Good idea, show me how to replace my rachet straps with the
actual fuel tank straps.

richpin06a says:

Happy Holidays to you.I will put it on my video to do list thank you for
being a loyal viewer.

hp11208 says:

richpin06a says:

@hp11208 No it is not.

richpin06a says:

@DALE97DSM So stay away from 95-99 talon

richpin06a says:

@CHIBA280CRV No fender video but i have a fuel tank strap video coming
tomorrow.

richpin06a says:

@axenz1 Dry would be best

richpin06a says:

@TOMOFONO You can not get the bolt to move side to side at all?

geweldigaum says:

Car seems like a bit of a beater at this point. Why not just live with the
body roll? I like your tool creation videos BTW.

spelunkerd says:

Nice job, Rich. How do you get a constant flow of Saturn vehicles to
repair? It’s kinda cool that you can specialize as a general mechanic in
private practice.

richpin06a says:

@winterskysteve Are you talking about the fender.

Nick Lovgren says:

Why did you have to take off the control arm?

richpin06a says:

Yes those bushings are out there.

Nelson Vega says:

Hi Richpin, Happy Holidays I hope all is well with you and the family. Was
wondering if you could do a video on replacing a Saturn sl1 2001 rear
stabilizer bar link. Saw a moog brand on Rock auto for half the price
selling at a local Advance auto. Thank you in advance for all you do.

TOMOFONO says:

Those blasted lower control arm to subframe bolts are not coming out for
me. It spins and rubber bits are coming out! Major seizure. Air hammering
does nothing…what next?

richpin06a says:

@winterskysteve On the Saturn S-series the fenders doors and quarter panels
are made from plastic.

LefloreGraphixTV says:

Hey!! Great Video!!! Where can i buy the Sway Bar and the Kit? #I need my
car fixed by the end of the week 🙁

richpin06a says:

@DALE97DSM What vehicle.

Robert Farns says:

I love your videos, man. Keep up the great work! 😀
