im starting to regret buying one of these on the basis of how hard it is to replace a screen.
the mono x i previously had, everything was top loaded, literally 2 screws and its slots in.
this is not user friendly at all!
Hey from Australia, love your vids, very helpful… I just dripped a couple drops of resin down the gap in front of the vat…. I know, retarded. Do I need to strip and clean or would you try to just keep going? It was only a couple drops but I’ve heard it can ruin motherboard or something

I know you got this comment a lot but I really wanted to thank you. Everytime my LCD Died, I bought a new Printer because of the Elegoo Replacement Video. After my 3rd Printer died, I knew I had to replace it this time. Your Video saved my Life and im not even Joking. Really Really Really thank you.
My screen doesnt go down all the way, it stick out a ton?
I used gorilla tape to pull the lcd out today. Mine has been sitting idle for a few months and I found the resin have been slowly leaking down and soaked the entire lcd. That also seem to dissolved the glue / tape that's holding the lcd too. If the LCD is supposed to be consumable then this is a really poor design. A small leak over time is going to kill the LCD and it takes almost disassembling the entire machine to replace it!
hold on… I've replaced a few of these and Elegoo basically tells you to take it all apart. OMG this looks so much easier. BTW is this the same as for the regular (non ultra ) saturn 4?
I got a Saturn 4 Ultra 4 months ago and now have black spots all over the screen. I did print a lot but new screen every 4 months sounds wild to me.
and i thought the screen change is way more trouble..just got my S4U16 the other day..this should be eays to do…Thx

Be VERY careful when doing this! I was a bit scared of the heat creeping into part not supposed to, also apparently not heating properly, And didn't have the Exact tool, so I ended up having to try the Elegoo-style, opening the whole frikkin machine up cause i splintered the LCD-screen… Again, It is probably a good way to replace the screen, but be afraid, be Very afraid…

mine didnt even have a screen protector i just took tape off and nothing just glass i was wondering whyi had so many weird marks all over glass
Would this be easier still if you used the existing ribbon cable?
Better than the official method for removing the dead lcd. But how do you manage to exract the ribbon câble. It seems that it cannot get through.

Bro you just took all the anxiety I had about changing this screen and made me laugh at it. This is way easy, felt like i was gonna have to reassemble a jet engine with all the screws in the elegoo video.

so I finally made the screen replacement and I can't thank you enough, it took around 20 minutes, I connected the ribon cables the wrong way and had to re-remove the screen and correct it (big facepalm), the screen I got was from chitu and they have a different ribbon cable than the video.

I have had my machine for less then 6 months and I have to replace the screen. Your video is like night and day to there's. Amazingly easy and understandable thank you so much now to get me a new screen
I'll be doing one once my replacement comes in – I do wonder if the double sided tape is really needed if the LCD is being held down from the top. I'd think it would make future screen replacements way easier not to use and should be just as secure.. thoughts?
