Hello guys, thank you for the feedback about the leveling paper, it's recommended to join our official community to get some details about this: https://www.facebook.com/groups/elegoosaturn/posts/1155510191700093/ We have got feedback from some customers before and the leveling card and it will be adjusted to be thinner than before in the future.

Sinepilot says:

Brand new Saturn 2 owner here (got it today). I heard about the leveling card issue before it arrived, and there still doesn't appear to be any definitive answer from Elegoo on whether they've fixed the card thickness, so I didn't even bother with it at all. For my initial leveling I used one piece of standard printer paper. I made sure to press down on the build plate while tightening the lock screws, in the specific order mentioned in the manual. My first test run of the Rook .ctb file was only half successful, one copy of the rook printed successfully, the other did not. The failed copy was stuck to the FEP.

I noticed during the print however, I read on the bottle the resin I was using had non-default exposure instructions (Elegoo 8K Standard), so for my second test run I used the settings on the bottle and it worked perfectly. Point being, although my first run was unsuccessful, it was not due to a leveling issue. The one piece of standard printer paper worked perfectly. I haven't tried with two pieces of paper, to me that felt too similar in thickness to the card and I didn't trust the card, so I decided to go straight for one piece and see if that worked. It did.

I feel ahead of the curve getting my Saturn 2 dialed in after just two prints, but I have all of you stout yeoman who sacrificed your sanity figuring out it was a card thickness issue to thank. So thank you!

Did LITERALLY this and when I reassembled it to test print the rook, the build plate came down and down and touched the bottom of the resin tank and made a terrible sound because it was trying to continue pushing down. This isn't my first time leveling it. I have done it three times now (over time/use is needs re-adjusting) and this is the second time I've had this specific problem and it's annoying. I have friends that have printers from other manufacturers and they don't have nearly as many problems.

House Of Latin says:

Hi there Elegoo team, so can you confirm that it is actually better to use a regular A4 sheet of paper, or is it not confirmed yet? Please share with us any new info about it, it helps to exclude other factors. Regards/Ed

printrun5 says:

i dont understand why you need to press Z=0. when you “home” your plate, and you level it, it is automatically at 0. so why i need to press “Z=0” after leveling?

fresh Armadillo says:

Exactly done this, but I get „Memory Error Code M_2000“ after pressing set z=0 and confirming the reset. And zero Position not saved..

MORDAX says:

About to sell this piece of junk… Had it for like 3 weeks and it fails every goddamn prints

sergio gonzalez says:

i just buy one,, very exited ,, thank you for the info

Daniel says:

Mine just won't stay level. Every 2-3 prints it starts failing on one side or the other

Hizeru says:

This explains so much

James Jacobson says:

This video needs to be updated because the leveling card is too thick and will throw off the leveling. I've had this printer for a week and been having trouble getting it to level correctly. I looked on the Facebook page and found that the card was too thick according to the company.
