$1200 + a weekend….. probably get $5000 for that car now. Glad you were able to save it. It cleaned up great too.
Transmission work is fun if not pressed for time or trying to make money.
Mike, because that car has a history at that auction any buyer will assume the transmission is no good so you wouldn't get anything out of it there. Sell it retail and go on to the next one.
At least now you can buy all cars with bad transmission of that type and fix them and make bank.

Thanks for the shout out Weird Beard. I'm so glad to see you got the transmission issue resolved. The key thing to being a good mechanic is having persistence, determination and patience. Let's just say I run into problems like this all the time out in the field. So i know the feeling and frustration we go through all the time. Now you can send it to the Sale and make some good $$$ on it.

That plate was probably missing because of the other extra steel they had in there. IE they prob just switched them up by accident. I know what you mean about batteries. Father in law got O2 sensor codes from a battery that was starting to die.

Mike: sell it from your home. The way prices are so high now for anything that has 4 tires, I think you can get an easy $4600 for this clean good running car. If you auction it, you are at the mercy of the best low bid. As I commented in your last video, I suspected the stack was too loose, and was hoping you would not give up on that old girl. You came through with flying colors. Your'e an inspiration to a lot of guys out there. I try to watch every one of your video's.
