I couldn’t believe how rought you are on the plastic trim and the headliner
shell. You wouldn’t have to bend the shell at all if you went out the front
passenger side. Slide the front seats to the rear and lay them back as far
as they will go. Lift the steering wheel as high as it will go and if you
have a floor shifter, put the selector to the far rear. The shell will then
drop and come out the door without bending it.
Well, you did a great job. It’s been very helpful. I’ve watched a number of
other videos and know the size of the sockets I need, where the fasteners
and clips are, how to disconnect electronics, etc. The time saved searching
for the proper tool as well as avoiding the breaking of plastic trim and
connectors … that’s just invaluable. Keep up the good work!
Dude, GM should pay you for making these Saturn-repair videos! I used ’em
to replace the headliner on my 1998 Saturn SL with one from a salvage yard.
The key was having the correct tools, which I did thanks to your videos. I
plan to replace the seat and do some other repair/replacements on my son’s
1994 Saturn SL, again thanks to your videos. Thanks again!
Thanks for the video! I have a ’97 SL2 and the fabric is pulling away from
the headliner. I plan to use your video as a guide for removing the
headliner. Once I get the headliner out, is it just a simple matter of
using trim adhesive spray to re-glue it, or is there more to it than that?
Getting the old foam glued on the board is the hardest part. I’ve been told
to use sandpaper or a wire brush and it was taking some time to get it all
off so I bought a 3.5 sanding disk to put on my drill and it’s alot easier
and not as messy.
The video is under “Assist Strap Handle Remove & Replace’
Where is your grab handle removal video plz? Saturn s-series

@TOMOFONO Look up “assist strap replacement “
Thank you for making this video! I’m now going out to remove mine from my

Trim adhesive should work fine.
Excellent video! Gave me just what was needed and saved $100+ replacing my
headliner myself. THANKS!
Is it hard to do this with a coupe? someone smartly ripped off the fabric
of the headliner of our 93 sc1 and we need to replace it.
