wow sir, I’m jealous!!
Hey Jake! If you ever want to sell this car, please let me know! I’ll buy
it for mint KBB value if you ever make that decision. I own five s-series
ranging in years from 1995-1999. The homecoming edition is sweet! I’ve
always wanted one but I can’t find one in such good shape. Find me as
Fadetomatt on twitter, Instagram and tumblr. Thanks for this video!!
im so glad its not just my sc1 that has the weird key issues
i got my Saturn sl2 stoled bout a year ago. I hope whoever stoled it died
by today. I really do. my baby would flyyyyyy, I mean flyyyy it would take
off like a champ. I miss my Saturn.
I filmed this with my Sony Bloggie HMS-PM5
Someone in the student parking lot in my school has one just like yours and
it’s in excellent shape! Homecoming edition too. Looks really modern for a
1994 IMO. Considering how a 1993 Accord looked….
As long as everything checks out I’d say go for it! This one easily has
220k and still runs flawless.
hay there is a saturn like yours in a junkyard in Columbia sc if you need
parts.
It looks like it haha! Thanks for finally uploading this! 😀
Watch the video….
No
Adding a seafoam treatment to the PCV valve and oil before doing an oil
change. Really cleans the engine out and helps you get better gas mileage.
Are you filming with the sony webbie??
1 4 starting 1 4 doors and probably 1 4 trunk or a spare key.
OH MY EFFING GAWD. home-comming edition! OMFG i havent seen this car since
i was like 12 yrs old! my grandparent attended the home-comming (or
anniversary event) in Tennesse (spell check.) I was inlove with it!
Just a touch for styling (I really like the way it looks) and its pretty
comfortable to have the extra bolstering over the regular SL. Also these
last few 90-95 degree “spring” days where the car has sat on the street in
direct sun all day have taught me how nice it is to still have partial
cloth I don’t stick to and the interior cools down faster.
Funny you would mention that! I was sitting at a stop light this morning
and looked over and there was a cutlass next to me and I thought “Huh that
looks JUST like my car”. Really I think this is the ONLY design from saturn
I really ever liked. Even the 95 refresh of this bodystyle I was never a
fan of the interior
Haha… of all the cars to see today – a Cutlass!! I’ve never cared for any
of the refreshes on the interiors. GM tried to give the car its unique look
apparently…..but the original version of the SL seemed to be the best
selling model….
Nice car. My dad is thinking about getting a 2002 SL2 with 192,000 miles.
Should he go for it?
Congrats! I also owned a Homecoming car, bought in 1997 with 36,000 on the
clock. It served me well for 60,000 miles Around 6,000 Homecoming cars were
made in 1994, all spec’d in similar fashion: -Pearl white exterior paint (a
Cadillac color from the same era) -Grey leather-and-cloth seats with rear
headrests (unique to the Homecoming car.) -Black-out Saturn badges
-Teardrop wheels (also offered on the SC2 and “regular” SL2s) -High-end
cassette deck w/ graphic equalizer, CD optional
Haha yep! He had it laying around so we decided to see if it would pop on
my car.
Yep! I threw put half the bottle in the oil and then drove it about 50
miles and then the next day slowly added some more into the PCV valve (what
makes it smoke) then went home and changed the oil.
did you change the oil AFTER the seafoam?? Jw, cause youre supposed to do
that within 100 miles after seafoaming.
clean car.. i bought a 94 saturn sc2 with 41,00 miles as clean as this and
love it. Good luck with your new car.
Other trivia: -ABS with four-wheel discs were also standard on the
Homecoming cars. I believe ABS-equipped “normal” SLs came with rear drums.
-The stock 1.9L Twin Cam was rated for 124 hp -The airbag-equipped steering
wheel was lifted out of the Pontiac Bonneville and Trans Am.
It’s good getting something like this to learn general maintenance on :),
nice car man very clean.
Nope because they go in the rear deck lid.
