wow, thanks Nathan, brilliant video. I used your video the other day from
my iphone when I was outside working on my car. I couldn’t figure out to
get the damn side flasher housing out until I watched your video…worked
on my ’03 9-5 2.3t Wagon. much appreciated !
Your video was the only one of any actual help for headlight removal. It
was clear, you demonstrated removal AND installation, and you went over
everything involved from the side lamps to the grilles. Thank you!
Hey, Can you please make a video on how to get the headlight lens off? I
have lots of crud and dirt that needs to be cleaned inside of the
headlight. !!
A long screwdriver would work fine. Just be careful not to break the tab
off or scratch the paintwork. It’s at an awkward angle if you use a
screwdriver, but not impossible.
My 2000 9-5 2.3t cannot pass inspection due to check engine light stays on,
can’t afford to replace DIC with a new one, is it possible to 1.clean the
old one DIC 2. new spark plugs. HELP
I’m very happy I was able to create a video that was easy to understand,
and follow to help others! Your comment is the best thing I could ever hope
for. Thanks for taking the time to comment! And I’m glad to have been a
resource! =D
Good video Nathan. The driver’s side repeater doesn’t seem so simple to
remove. Do you know if a long screwdriver can be used to move the release
tab on it? It’s impossible to get behind it with your hand. Thanks.
They’re both really hard to get to, but the right side seems to be the
worst.Do you know anything about the ballast? Some people have told me that
it could go bad as well as the bulb.. Do you know how to find out which one
or both have gone bad?
Great video Mate, thanks to this I was able to replace HID ballast myself
which would normally cost me over $300 New Zealand dollars, for labour.
Good on You Mate! DreamTimeNZ
There both very hard to get to but if I had to choose one, I’d say the
passenger side would be best. I’d like to know more about the ballast too
if you have that information.
Great video Nathan. I came across it 6 months ago when my right front
headlight went out. Followed your instructions and had it changed in 15
mins! When my left went out this week, found the vid again for another
quick fix. Saved me literally hundreds from having to take this in to a
mechanic. Thank you!
Nice video! You make it look easy! haha I need to replace a turn signal
bulb and I couldn’t figure it out. (It still works, but the orange has
flaked off so it flashes white) On the subject of Xenons, can I adjust the
angle? They look lower than yours. Quite a bit lower.

I guess this is the same procedure for my 2006 93 conv.

Well thanks very much for the feedback! I appreciate it!
@jimihenrydrix Which side would you like to see replaced, I’ll make a video
for you.

Glad to be of help!
Thank you for posting this video. Time to try this at home! Hopefully all
it is is a $90US (gulp!) bulb and not a $200US+ ballast.
Have you tried taking the whole bumper off? I’m scared to brake those
plastic “bolts” thanks for the vid
Does anyone know how to replace a headlight bulb on a 2006 Saab 9-5 Aero?

I WOULDN’T DARE DO THAT!

I haven’t tried taking the lens off. I know it’s possible. But there’s no
need for me to take mine off, sorry.
@tomasbjornerback Thanks! And I would, if I owned an ’06-’09.

Just brilliant video – thanks! I have a 2007 9-5 and I can’t get the front
to come off. Can you make a video of how to do it on the 2006-2010 models?
@Nathandm78 Thanks for the link! Helps a lot!
@jimihenrydrix Posted that video, Hope it helps.
