Saab 9-3T Part 2 – ECU swap and programming with a twist

Part-2, 2007 Saab 9-3T ECM 55565020 failure! and I cant locate one local. A local salvage yard has a wrecked a 2006 9-3 but the ECM 55353231 is different! well according to most data i can find. they look identical? same amount of pins and the plugs are the same Hmmm what if ? i wonder if someone else ever had this issue? a quick google search landed me on a Saab forum
( trionictuning.com ) full of all the answers i needed! watch along and see what happens, thanks for taking the time! hope you enjoy.

Hey, I was just wondering there is a local car in a junkyard with a presumably good ecu…do I have to un-marry it from the junk car before I flash it to my car? I do not have a tech II nor do I have access to one.

ishmael white says:

Woow men it's amazing. Appreciate the video. I think I have the same problem. When I connect t the scan I have the P0201, 0202, 0203. I will try this. I have a Saab 2007 2.0 turbo. Do you think this can work for me?

Hi, it's an awesome video. I need to change the ECM of a 2007 SAAB 9-3. 2.0 T, I have the 55565020. Could you please help me cause I don't know what to do. Thanks.

Sergio Hauptmann says:

Got a question for you. I am thinking of doing same procedure to my saab 9-3 2006. I need some clarification about ELM327 v.1.3. Is that a software or a hardware? I already ordered the OBD Link SX from amazon and will download the software from txtsuit. Is there anything else that I need?

Oganesian Sergey says:

Thank you! I repared my car using this video. And thanks to guys who creat the software.

Don Lemersal says:

Really nice work! You mentioned there was a way to do the same swap on the bench with the proper adapter – I can't find what that adapter is, do you have any more information about that? thanks

Gene Stevens says:

Hey will would you be willing to do some flashing on my 2006 saab 9-3T for me??

Zed Man says:

Fantastic video my friend. Did you need to know any security key to the ecu data off?

spankmeister says:

Hats off to you, sir. We're glad it worked 🙂

YesUCan says:

Quick question – in your post on trionic, you specifically mention that the ELM327 was known not to work, where can I find a list of compatible adapters? I have a BAFX Products Bluetooth Diagnostic OBDII Reader and will try that first if I can.

YesUCan says:

18:47 Hallelujah moment!!! Thank you for this video. You sound like a good man/dad.
