Quick video to show how to replace your Saab dashboard speakers to add some more definition to your sound.
**Note that I read the polarity diagram backwards. This will have no effect on speaker performance as both speakers were wired with the same polarity, but I recommend you follow the correct polarity**
Remember these are too small to give any decent bass, that is what your door speakers are for
Hi, great video! Are you planning on changing the door speakers aswell? I would love a video on that if you do! Keep up the good work!
I could be wrong but when you look at the speaker connector in the picture position, the polarities seem to be swapped.
Thumbs up on the camera angles. I would have liked your option on the sound from the speakers. What I did notice is it looks like the new speaker is higher than the original and causes the speaker cover to not fit flush.
And after instaling alpine speakers how much increase sound quality? On hight volume speakers sound good?
There are various different Spade connectors referring to different amps. Is there a correct on to use here or a minimum?
Great video – really helps!
I did this last week, and did it the hard way by cutting off the connector from the pioneer speaker and soldering it to the new speaker so i could connect it directly into the existing plug in the dash. It works but so much more work than what you've done. Wish you had done this video last week.
You can make a short adapter cable with a female and male contact if you don’t want to cut the off the original connector. That’s what I did. Then it’s easy to get back to stock if you want to.
En-joying (!) your videos, great job!
Did this a few years ago, this would be the first and inexpensive sound system upgrade. Installed a pair of cheap "Kicker" replacing the "Bose" oem upgraded sound package (rubbish) speakers.
The convertible is easier to do this with better access.
Thank you, great video.
How much was the sound improved?
