I'm guessing this is the fault with my aero as I can't hear the pump engaging. Glad it's soo easy to access. Makes a nice change.

It all went really well on my car, many thanks! The only part I found a problem (not much though) was releasing the hose @3:00

If you look at this pic then it shows the lock on the hose that needs to be pushed from the bottom right, towards the top left to release the hose from the connector on the pump:

(It probably had dirt around that area which then prevented it pushing through and unlocking completely)

Thank you for this video! I followed your instructions exactly, and was able to fix my washer pump on my ‘05 9-3 all by myself. I should add that I’m female and do not normally do repair work on my cars, but it looked accessible and easy – and it was. I’m quite proud of myself, actually. 🙂

Bardzo dobrze pokazane. Proponuję wymiane dysz na mgiełkowe od insignii za 5£ z ebay. Mam w oplu od około 2 lat i polecam. Te zwykłe wypadają słabo w porównaniu do mgiełkowych. Pozdro

TheVicar says:

Excellent. I have my older petrol 93 that I kept for spares. I hope the pump will be the same regarding electrical power for my possible failed pump on my current diesel 93. I will check for fuse issues 1st, but nothing else has failed so I guess the pump doesn't have a dedicated fuse. I will post again after trying the swap/fix
