Ppl are saying if i cut my backseat to get to my pump that i still have to go underneath to remove some lines/connectors . Is this true and do you have any video or info on where or how to get those lines?

Hope this helps. Also to drop the tank it's 4 bolts if you don't have a shop or a lift going from uptop in the backseat is the only other option. What this video don't show or tell you is once you cut the top open you have to crawl underneith the car and release the 3 or 4 lines still to get the pump out. There isn't one video that shows this. Everyone so far only half-assed the videos

Here is what I did to determine that it was in fact my fuel pump that was bad. Two things that will cause a car to crank no start is fuel, and spark. Or an security issue. To start with to see if your security system is locking the starter. Go under your hood and pull open the fuse box by the battery. Check all fuses to see if any are blown. Next You will then pull the starter fuse the big square one closest to the headlight. Get a thick wire long enough to connect to the positive terminal and then on the fuse you pulled. Before you go any further go into your car. Take your key and turn it to the 3rd position the on position. Go back to the fuse box and now take the wire and insert the end Into the slot that says 37. The slot that is closest to your valve cover. If your car starts up. You have a security issue not a fuel or spark issue. If the starter clicks and nothing happens time to move on to next place to check. Take the wire off the battery and turn key to off position. Pull your cover off your coils and undo 1 coil at a time remove spark plug and insert it back In the coil with a friend have them turn the key if the spark plug Sparks you have spark. Also pay attention to your dash while turning the key to the on position if your gauges kinda jump you have communication to the ecu. Under the hood you will see a valve that looks like the one on your tire. Take a cloth cover the valve to stop excess fuel spillage. Press the center in and release the fuel pressure 1-2 seconds is all you will need. Now if your not getting fuel to the engine when you crank your engine 5-6 revolutions when you go back up to that valve when you press it in again no fuel will gush out. It might trickle but it should squirt if it don't squirt out fast your not getting fuel to the engine. This is the process I took and determined that my fuel pump went out. I hate paying for parts I don't need. I prefer not to be a parts changer. Determine what the issue is and diagnose. Saab has known they have had issues with this for years. Swedish GM ignore and let the consumer fix it. Sucks. But this is our Saab story.

Why don't you make a video on that but what you do with the fuel lines going to replace them but I understood you have to buy the whole assembly with hoses and everything I didn't do that I cut the hoses and down the back together with some brass pieces and some hose clamps and it's leaking like no other any ideas

Would it be the same for a 2007? Also the fuel gauge is not reading would replacing the fuel pump fix that?
