thanks man. i recently picked up a used 2007 9-5, and i love this car.
haven’t had to change any bulbs yet but it’s just a matter of time

Thanks … believe it or not I just had to change-out the same bulb … a
couple of things: 1) it’s a little harder than i made it seem in this video
… 2) it’s much easier if the entire hose is taken off (not just that
device with the red arrows) … 3) it is really a very tight fit for big
fingers … DAMN SAAB! … 4) when u re-assemble … make sure the arrows
on that device point toward the drivers side .. GOOD LUCK!

Jacob Oyer says:

cool thanks for the response. apparently the mass airflow sensor should be
cleaned from time to time (and very very carefully) especially if your car
has an open air intake like a K&N or maptun aftermarket filter. might not
be a terrible idea to do this next time you swap bulbs. hope the car is
still running well for you. I don’t know of any other 4 cylinder that pulls
in 3rd gear like these cars do. NEVS, the company that bought saab is
supposedly planning to start producing the 9-3 again

xi chen says:

I did the same mistake last time when changing my xenon bulb. I fitted the
mass airflow exactly the same as here, the engine light came on later and
showed the code P0101.
