Turbo Boost Bypass Valve Fix/Bypass

Video shows the aftermath of the bypass done to fix boost lag, over-boosting, and codes associated with faulty Turbo Purge Valve Solenoid

I recorded this video a ways back, so sorry about the quality, just figured I would edit and upload for a common problem. “The Customer” was actually a dear recent friend of mine that passed, but he loved the fix that I did.

Hope you guys like and subscribe.

I wouldn't do this.

with only 85000 on it but it looks like a flogged dog. Needs a good detailing.

Dude that electric solenoid valve you bypassed has nothing to do with boost. That valve controls the charge air bypass valve. If you where over boosting before you are still over boosting. Also the boost gauge you showed on the dash is also a vacuum gauge. All it was showing was loos of boost when you revved the engine. I only comment on this so someone doesn't see your video and buy parts they dont need.

Rarebear101 says:

The gauge shows air mass requirement, not turbo boost. Sport mode only amplifies the input from the accelerator pedal. You didn't fix anything at all.
