The exhaust was blowing on my Porsche 996 so to save money I had it repaired by PCW Welding. Only in doing so we discovered a nasty rattle in the one muffler and had to track it down. This meant cutting holes in the back box until we located the cause. And it’s one that’s gonna cost me a lot more to fix!

at this point wouldn't a new Aftermarket exhaust system make more since than this repair?
Can anyone please explain to me what was the lump of metal that they took out? Where did it come from? If it broke off of another part then why didn't they need to re-attach it or stick something on to cover the hole where it fell off of?
How is this less expensive than getting a new exhaust? I thought welding was very expensive!
Just buy a new set of stainless cat backs you tight bugger
It’s like a cuban repair lol
What brand is that jacket
paul has got a wee dose of BBS Builders Bum Syndrome
I want more videos like this. Upvote.
Dont get the impression that 911s are like this. I bought my 997 variant direct from Porsche, only problem with it in 5 years has been a leaking oil pump. Which I have replaced by Porsche. Moral of the story, buy your car carefully, or, like any other make of car, you are fucked.
Only came here to appreciate the S14a 200sx at 0:11 🙂 OOOh
Shout out to Paul's website… So you can get the work done for free?? Pay that man!!!
Looks like a scene from Minder
Bit of a bodge job.
Thank you! Thanks to Paul! Good job!
So you didn't replace the cats? OEM are stupid expensive, but a UK company called Too Gear makes a 200 cell x-pipe at less than half cost of replacing the OEM crossovers and it sounds FANTASTIC. M&M's x pipe is great too
Did you not replace the cat(s) then? Won't they continue to break up?
I know it's a show but here is a rule. Never buy used luxury cars.
What's wrong… only 1 thing – the age 🙂
