The Pad Keeper for Porsche 993 911 DIY

This is a DIY install video to prevent your sound pad above the engine from falling down.

To purchase the Pad Keeper from FD Motorsports go to https://fdmotorsports.net/shop/ols/products/the-pad-keeper-for-964993

I purchased this product and I have not received anything of value for making this video.

Peter K says:

My soundpad was still ok, but the Padkeeper makes it all look so much better.

Yemi says:

Well, I did the exact opposite and removed the whole sound pad(that’s the very first thing i did), then removed the rear shelf in the car too for the full effect, when the car hits 4.5k rpm I smile like an idiot.

Gerald's Videos says:

Mine wasn't actually falling apart or brittle. For this reason I just sprayed a rather large amount of 'trim adhesive' deep into the gap(s), from one side to the other. I then provided even 'up pressure' using a blanket wedged in above the engine and left it overnight.
That was 15 years ago, and it's still fine and looks OEM.
