How to replace a defective LCD screen inside a 2002 996 Porsche 911.
I followed the procedure demonstrated by Niclas Lundberg in this great video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=USb-Jpl0bSM&t=601s
Overall this job took me 30 minutes.

I purchased the replacement LCD screen here but there are similar kits available from other sources: http://www.ebay.com/itm/97-98-99-00-01-02-03-04-Porsche-Climate-Control-NEW-LCD-Repair-Kit-/302182018997?ul_noapp=true&nma=true&si=JbVSW9LOTe%252Bk13AhfrtNHXA0szg%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
I purchased the Trim Tool Kit here for $15: https://www.amazon.com/Panel-Window-Molding-Upholstery-Removal/dp/B009QLBDSW/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1489526078&sr=1-4&keywords=trim+kit
