HAES speakers…i have some…good speakers.
Love this! Thank you! About to replace these paper cone speakers in my Porsche, too.
Who would downvote this? It’s the perfect vehicle modification, and simple. Re-use, re-purpose, recycle. Well done you.
Doesn’t matter if it was blown. It’s called an upgrade.
was the speaker blown?
background song name
You wrote about the lack of bass but was there any improvement of the bass compared with the stock speakers?
but I hope that you not work like he does….
@jaybee15100 no…you just can see how he works….that fucks asses O.O
Porsche is *quality*
BUT THIS IS NOT THE NEW ART OF WORK :-O
The basket is used to hold the speaker against the grill. Without it, the speaker would just fall into the dash.
lol.
Lol you didn’t need the stock speaker basket you should have just cut the pig tail off the door side and wired it directly to the new speaker without using the plug!
thats quite an unessecary pain in the ass lol
2 way rip off LOL
Nice! 😀
It should sound a LOT better now
a little redneck but i like it, great work!!!
LoL i think its 6st. time i watch this and i don’t even got a Porsche
Absolutely well done. Use the Alpine as suggested. I clipped the complete terminal away from the frame and made it a tag with a couple of wire extensions. Project cost USD $100. 🙂
keep telling ur self that
this not all it seems. if you set the head unit up correctly my standard speakers really pump out the music..i swithced the head unit to a pioneer….theres nothing wrong with paper speakers so thats crap. some of the worlds best are paper they are just persiable…if there knackered change them but mine rock
putting similar size speakers in gives little improvement..its all about base frequency….just fit a sub and get the frequncy sorted to remove distortion
Another heart felt THANK YOU!!! I changed over my boxster speakers with my son this weekend. Took less than 60 minutes to do both sides. I improvised a little and used plastic cable ties, instead of super glue, to fasten the speaker to the original bracket. Thanks again for making this video. Great idea!!
Great mod – I’m going to do this – over the weekend….
Thanks so much. I followed the clear instructions and completed the project with ease. I added some new Focal speakers with separate tweeters which also involved some additional modifications to install but simple nonetheless.
what do you mean with spg 10c2 moderate quality and spg 10c2 high quality??? are they different???
how about the doors? whats the speaker size?
hi and thanks for this really clear explanation/demonstration of this procedure. I’m ordering the drivers today and will carry out the swap at the w/end.
thanks again!
