PORSCHE BOXSTER SERVICE POSITION | How to DIY

PORSCHE BOXSTER SERVICE POSITION | How to DIY

If you want to buy an “I AM THE WARRANTY” shirt OR if this saved you a good deal of time and/or money and want to buy me a coffee or a beer, you can do those things right here: https://ko-fi.com/helpmediy

This video will show you how to put your Porsche Boxster into “Service Position”. This means the engine cover is removed to give you access to the engine. It is often required in order to perform service on the vehicle. You will see that it is VERY easy to do yourself and it doesn’t even require any tools!

I have a 2021 911 Carrera S, and was considering buying a Boxster. Great video and helpful in more ways than one. Videos like this convinced me NOT to buy a Boxster. I instead satisfied my roadster craving with a 2023 BMW Z4 instead. Sure the Boxster is dynamically superior to the Z4, but I decided in favor of a more traditional roadster with a front engine layout.

Excellent video though and I thank you for it.

Great video. I have a glass rear panel so the top needs removing to get to the engine. The only thing is that there are a number of electrical cables attached to the roof that I'm not sure how to remove

I love your video's and have purchased several of the items you have, Joe Toth Ducktail, your tail lights, and have put an Xtreme motorcars full body kit on it, and wrapped it in blue chrome and carbon fiber as I own two wrap shops in Michigan. I'd like to send you a few pics of it but need an email address. Your video's are really helpful, much appreciated!

All great information., I have a request: my centre vent are droopy and fall down. I heard that there is some of tap that provide tension that dry up. If you have the same issue and want to DYI it and video the repairs, this would be great. I would appreciate it! I worry about pulling the Center panel… cheers !
