long way from that 340 Duster eh? George in Tallahasse………..now
finishing up a 340 Duster!

Babalouie says:

Holy moly…even in fast-motion it still looks like a lot of work 🙂

roadrunner1969383 says:

Amazing!! I could not do that with a gun to my head! Nice job Travis!

MySatora says:

Used to be able to get my 2.7S out in under 2hrs.

DusterRT says:

@burrpenick Haha, yes I guess I can’t deny my automotive ADD, but it has
made for a lot of highly diverse experiences! This car is #17 on my
“resume.” Anyway, sounds like a nice car with a classic color combination,
and you’ve gotta love the 4-speed. Hopefully it’s not too rusty!

This prooves that with a tidy garage, some basic tools, plenty of time and
lots of reasearch, everything is possible on a Porsche

George Penick says:

I remember you going graduating from college in the mid US, moving to the
NW, then getting a Jeep, Mustang, now a Porche? Sounds pretty neat. Mine
340 car is red, and just now ready for new paint- so many red/black ones,
this one will be receiving a new factory style white stripe and interior.
Its an orig 4sp car and may have the orig drivetrain. I have not checked it
yet, but it was a race car and I did remove most of the speed equip. George

Hi Adam! Hmm, it’s too much to post here so I will just send you a message.
🙂

DusterRT says:

@roadrunner1969383 Thanks Stu! It’s been a lot of work but there’s not a
doubt in my mind it will be worth it!

budha59 says:

I had to laugh. My cat does EXACTLY the same thing when I’m wrenching.

DusterRT says:

@burrpenick Hahaha, yes, it’s been a long, convoluted journey since that
old Duster followed me home..gosh, 13 years ago! Is yours the red one in
the video?

Adam Edelen says:

Hey Duster – really impressed with the videos you’ve got up here and as a
new 993 owner, I must pick your brain. Just picked up a one owner ’95 993
C2 for a grand but it has a seized gearbox. Engine runs but needs service.
I’m pretty proficient but haven’t pulled the motor on a RR vehicle. What
the story on that cart and what did you mount those jack stands? Its a
project car and I will need to pick up some of the basics/911 essentials
for working on it. Any advice?
