My motor mounts were pretty shot, it was time to replace them. After seeing this mod done on another channel, I figured I would give it a try instead of going with a Semi-Solid mount. This mod is also similar to to what a company on the net is doing. This mod and basic how to will also work on the 997. Watch, enjoy and subscribe.

"Smog Pump" my OZ MY00 996 C2 CAB doesn't have one of these fitted, is this US standard specification?

To get a stronger and harder mount you want to fill them with Polytek Poly PT Flex Shore A70 Fast Cure Polyurethane. It can also be used to fill coffin arm bushes or cast a full bush. Polyurethane is very easy to make and cast. It's as strong and lasts as long as normal poly bushes/insets etc.

I definitely need to do this on my 1999, both engine and that transmission mount insert. Awesome videos!

Nothing like a set of fresh engine mounts! If you ever have any exhaust needs we'd love to work together on some videos! 🙂 – Mike

Good to see you used 23 nm (17 ft lbs) for the top mount bolts. This torque figure is often incorrectly stated on forums.

I just installed the same mod on mine yesterday and I feel like NVH at highway speeds. Do you have any vibrations? I need more seat time to tell.

Which Manufactures mounts did you use?
