Porsche 911 991 GTS Rear Bumper Cover How To Remove & Install *Porsche GTS DIY*

Porsche 911 991 GTS Rear Bumper Cover How To Remove & Install *Porsche GTS DIY*

My personal version of a DIY for removing the rear bumper cover on my Porsche 911 991 GTS. How to remove porsche 911 rear bumper cover. I recently wanted to remove the GTS bumper cover to inspect the Active Dynamic Engine Mounts (see my PADM Fail video! https://youtu.be/Rma6KaesRy4).
I talk about the process of removing AND reinstalling the rear bumper cover of my 2015 Porsche 991 GTS. Follow along as I remove the taillights, disconnect electrical connections, remove all of the bolts, and remove the cover. I’ll take a few minutes to describe the “visible” features of the 991 GTS, including airbox, heat shielding, bracing, and so on. I then reverse the process and re-install the cover.
Hope this helps anyone with a project at hand where they have to remove the rear bumper cover of their Porsche 991 car — including projects such as replacing OE air filters on the Porsche 991 with BMC performance air filters for the Porsche 991 cars (Check out my DIY video “GTS BMC Performance Filter Install” https://youtu.be/LtDn7CD0_KI), accessing the Porsche Performance Exhaust, or simply removing the Porsche 991 rear bumper cover to repair or have it painted!

Thank you for watching!

Failed to mention in the video 2 things about removing the rear bumper cover — in addition to the electrical connector for the license plate, you may also have connectors for a Reversing Camera and Park Distance sensors, if your car has either of those two options (or both). I don't have them on this particular car, but on my previous 991 C4S I had a reversing camera. The connector was on the other side in my case. Please comment below if there is anything else I missed!
