Here I show how to change the gearbox mount (transmission carrier) on my Porsche 911 turbo. The process is the same on all 996 and 997 C2, C4, Turbo, GT3 and GT2 cars. This was done in the middle of my install of the Numeric shifter, but the film was getting so long that I made this into its own shorter video. The reason for doing so was that my car had the aftermarket Rennline gearbox bushing, and I suspected it causing excess noise in the car. Since I was installing the full Numeric kit, with the cables, I wanted to reduce NVH from the gearbox, since the cables will add noise.
