How to REPLACE BRAKE LINES with STAINLESS STEEL on a Porsche Boxster (Project 54)

Project 54 of the 101 Porsche Boxster Projects book.

While I had the calipers off to paint them (see my last video), I decided to go ahead and upgrade the brake lines to stainless steel ones from StopTech. While this SHOULD be a very easy project, it ended up being a complete PITA!!! Old brake line fittings that will not come off are not fun.

After doing this job you will, of course, need to bleed the brakes and replace the fluid. You’re in luck, I have a video for that too!

Here's a trick, if you put something like a jack stand so it lightly presses the brake pedal, it closes off a valve in the master cylinder (or something) and greatly minimizes the amount of drip you get when changing the brake lines.
