Our radio and rear camera stopped. Sounded like only maybe a rear subwoofer was working and the camera was gone. The screen seemed to show everything else, but no camera. Immediately called the nearest Porsche dealer and the service guy I spoke to had no idea. I was thinking maybe a fuse. Got home and searched the sypmtoms which led me to this video and it explained everything… In 2 minutes!!! Nice Job!!

I managed to reboot a 2018 Macan PP which I believe has the PCM 4 – USB wasn’t being recognised as an input.
You have to hold the left rotary knob and the screen goes black OFF. I then clicked and held it for another 5-10 seconds and it reboot, the Porsche logo and Macan logo popped up and USB is working again.
does not fix mine. keeps doing same resetting.
I tried this several times on my 2014 Carerra. It works for a few minutes and then my instruments on the dash either display faults or it goes dead completely. I used the FIXD scanner and says I have 2 major defaults. I can hardly wait for the big dollar bill for the repairs.
Finally figured what the problem was..I had a new AGM battery installed and cleared up all of the faults . Best 150 dollars i had even spent.

This worked for me! My radio was resetting itself every 3 minutes. I had to perform this twice but the second time the unit stopped rebooting completely. My dealer said I needed a new radio $2,000 — thanks for saving me the money!!

already done it and nothing. It is my 2nd PCM change at Porsche.. and still doing it. (2 years between change and now again out of warranty.. lost trust at Porsche.
Going to give this a shot as soon as I get home. Driving me crazy.
