Thanks very helpful, mine on my CS started with a rumble and within a few days seems to almost buzzing like a bad wheel bearing so I'm wondering if I need a bearing and support or if the big joint between the two shafts has gone bad. Have you had any vibration from your after market one when running at high speeds. Thanks very much.
PS I'll add your video to my Porsche Tech Tips playlist which has some great stuff in there too.

thanks for the vid. I purchased a used '05 Touareg with 64k miles on it. right around 80k miles i noticed an odd vibration, and shortly after it sounded like a monkey climbed into my center console and started beating his way out. I took it to our dealer who graciously charged me $900 for a new shaft and just under $900 to make the replacement. fast forward to last weekend, i took my son to a MLB Game and on the way home noticed a familiar vibration. (50 mile trip) by the time i got home it was definitely more noticeable. Tried to drive to work today and it's horrible, back to just as bad as when i replaced it last time. Vehicle currently has 145k miles on it. I would much prefer to replace the bearing myself. I can not find it online. Can you provide some info regarding the bearing you mentioned? thank you for your time.
