Spectacular video, sir — better than shop school. I’m going to be doing Cayman brakes within the next two weekends. After watching this series, it’s going to be a cinch.

how much should i pay a mechanic to do this?

I have the exact modal and year as yours. 1999 996.. A couple of questions. Why do you not have the brake depth sensor line hooked up right now? If mine is hooked up, do I have to do anything special with them when changing the pads? BTW great informative video.

is there a tutorial anywhere on JUST removing calipers to give them a new paint job?
I am coming up short on that, but considering painting my 86′ 930 turbo calipers from black->red

Any suggestions?
