As always, well done. Love the 986, and those Boxster wheels…and the 911 next to it 🙂

Others have mentioned below but make sure the trickle or "float" charger is compatible with your type of battery (Lead Acid vs. AGM, etc.) it's probably worth the extra few dollars for a recognized brand. There are some that think "I'll just start and run my car once a week or every other week" – unless your driving it for more than a few minutes you're probably not getting a significant amount of charge in your battery and also the short trips may be doing damage to your exhaust since it doesn't get warm enough to dry it out.
If I'm storing or not using a vehicle (or equipment) for more than a month or two I'll actually remove the battery and keep it in a warmer location and charge it once a week.

It's fun to drive Boxster in the snow with winter tyres. Btw 2002 Boxster is probably assembled in Finland.

@928Porscheman says:

Also make sure your battery trickle charger has a desulfator which helps on glass mat batteries.

@928Porscheman says:

With the 50/50 weight balance Porsche is actually a good car to drive in a reasonable snow height. I have not driven a Boxster but my 944 and 944S performed well with all season tires.

Thumbs up for all;)

It's always a sad day when your 986 goes into hibernation but focusing on when she comes out helps. Around mid-April for me 98 days 5 hours from now…not that I'm counting or anything!

@flargosa says:

if the antifreeze is old, you may want to replace it as well. Especially if your garage goes below zero.
