I owned one of these beauties…. I fucking loved it until the cherries always popped

I bought my ls1 Firehawk back in 2004 and dailied it for years. One thing nobody gives the car credit for is the fact that it got great gas mileage for a big v8 car. With a 6 speed it was rated for 28.mpg, but like many other aspects it was underrated. I've hit 30 mpg on long road trips back in the day. For a single 20 something it was a great all around car, while I regret driving it through a few northeast winters if properly prepped the car could be driven year round. But don't do that lol, rust is a bitch.

Good points. I've owned fourth gen Firebirds for over 20 years. They aren't perfect, but I still love them. I don't beat on them and they have held up pretty well. 20 year old cars will naturally have issues, but I think they are still beautiful. I have noticed prices are rising, but that's a good thing for the owners.

Pro: it’s a beautiful car

Con: it’s not a New Edge mustang

My honest opinion about the styling is: as a kid I loved these (my favorite American car) as I got older I realized they are too much (overdone) and actually kind of tacky looking.. (subjective opinion) the 3rd gen T/As had it perfect imo..
