Probably the same thing I need to do on my Grand Prix. How much did the Moog parts run you?

jimmyjawbreakr says:

Hey did you pump air into the lower part of the bar?

prospector89 says:

Ok lets take the corner doing 60 mph….lol

MyHaloReachVideos says:

I replaced one of mine and the top attachment did not fit in the square hole, so now it rattles when I hit a bump? What part # moog was yours?

Relys says:

Hello sir, I found your video very informative, but I had a question. Would a broken sway bar toggle “Service ABS system” and “Service traction control” system messages?

Either way, I’m going to replace it. I was just wondering if it might be a different problem (like cracked wires).

Thanks.

Kelly Diggs says:

do you need new bushing for the links???? Thanks

83Jwizzle says:

Good job man; I have an ’04 Grand Prix & I’m having the same issue. Quick question: I noticed toward the end of the video that the Traction Control message still came up; why is that message coming up?

tedmongel says:

I’d say this is exactly what my 07 Grand Prix needs, so thanks for the great video. I also see you got onto 69 heading towards Flint? Wow, I live in East Lansing currently, so that looked familiar.

28CarsLater says:

Thank you so much for the informative video, I am pretty sure this is whats wrong with my ’08… I must have got lemon sway bars because mine is making quite some noise at 63K and yours made it far beyond.

VAN HALEN!

63lesabre says:

You could, and it’s been done before, but you’d have to upgrade many things. The mass air flow sensor will have to be replaced so that it can accurately send info to the computer under a boost condition, the PCM will have to be changed out or at least re-flashed, and on an 04 only, you’d have to swap out the supercharger pulley to a much larger one. 04 3800 series iii connecting rods are weaker than 05-08 series iii connecting rods.

DigitalIntervention says:

He was using a grease gun. Since the end of the stabilizer link had a grease fittiing (like most Moog parts do), he decided to pack it full of grease. They come pre-greased out of the box. But he just wanted to be safe – nothing wrong with that. I replaced the driver and ppassenger side outter tie rod ends on my Grand Prix and they had a grease fitting, too. Made by TRW (also Moog). Factory sealed units are bullsh*t. There’s no such thing as a greased component “for life”.

arealscorpio1 says:

Hey, what did you do at 2:25?? why did you have to pump it like that?

63lesabre says:

According to my book, the 97-03 and 04 chassis is the same. But it would require you to disconnect the steering shaft and drop the back of the engine cradle to remove it.

lightheat says:

Thanks, very helpful to see it before I yanked the wheels off. Would you say it’s also easy to remove the sway bar itself? Do you know if the 04 GP chassis is much different than the 97-03 chassis?
