Why do I have 4 hoses then …
Do you have to flush the system after doing this or just refill coolant?
What are things to look for to tell if you need to replace this tank?
ok does the upper hose just hang there is my question, as well as many others, and im pretty sure noone has actually answered the question
What is the name of the upper hose
Mike, thank you for posting this video. I am a female and due to your through instructions in this video, a diva like me was am to get the job done. I am giddy with my sucess. It took me about 30-45 minutes. There is some work I will not perform on my car Pontiac Grand Am but thanks to auto pros like you, a female can have confidence by watching a well put together video and get the job done. Thank you again.
i think im gonna try it it looks easy
It should be the overflow hose. It transfers fluid back-and-forth to the radiator. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
the hose near the cap… is that just a bleed hose or over flow hose? I drove with the cap off on accident and it never got to the H on the thermostat but it was all out of coolant and I put a whole big bottle and and half in it and am concerned that it may keep leaking..when I checked it out the hose near the cap to the resovoir was just hanging there
You should be able to see it dripping from somewhere if it empties out that fast. There could be a crack on the bottom. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
That doesn't answer the question. I think the overflow valve does not connect to anything, but I just filled up the tank and within 2 miles of driving it went empty.
Hi..thanx for the DIY video…I was worried I'd have to spend alot at the machanics to fix my 02 malibu tank but it looks pretty easy to do now and am confident to have my bf do it by watching your video.
@aramirez511 You would reconnect the three hoses shown in the video.
