Normally those are either held in with screws on the front face, rear of the housing, or even with just a clip that needs to be pushed in a certain position.

It might be an issue with the socket or possibly even the wiring. Testing the socket for power will be necessary at this point to determine what is going on.

You may want to call the company that you had ordered the part from. We carry these 99-06 Pontiac Grand AM taillights on our website 1aauto.com Part#1ALTP00290 They also come with a 3 year warranty on them.

nice video. I bought a new one off ebay (not from you) and the harness wont plus into the board. I have no problem putting the harnesss in the original board.

@foxboy1618 If you’re looking to replace the broken clips, your local dealer can usually get them for you.

You may want to test the socket and the wire leading to it with a test light. This will tell you if the socket is the culprit.Hope this helps.
