My van just stopped in the middle of idling while warming up. Could this be
a coil?
1.easily removable cover above your forearms remove it- you can see and
work a little better 2.thirty toos ? -it’s 32 nd 3.apply thin layer of
dielectric grease on all electrical contacts 4.not hatin’-just sayin’
Usually they’ll trigger the check engine light and throw a cylinder misfire
code. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
HOW DO YOU NO IF YOUR Ignition Coil IS BED IN A 2002 chevy impala
You can snug them up so that they’re hand tight. If you tighten the bolts
to tight you might break the plastic coil housing.
Thanks for the video!!! I have a 2000 Venture with 177,000 miles on it that
I hope to keep for a few more years. It’s a great vehicle!!! Glad to have
the videos!

I did it with eyes closed: take wires off alternator (make sure battery is
disconnected) and take off alternator (make illustration on how to put
serpetine belt back on), take dog-bone brackets off front holding motor;
rock motor forward – now the boots on plugs stick big-time – noce off,
replace plugs and reassemble. With motor forward and no alternator, you can
get left arm behind motor and right hand to reef on plug boots – they are
the main stickler.
On the 2.2 for that year a coil pack was equipped on that vehicle and the
3.4 came through with individual coils. Here’s a link to them on our
website if you would like to see what we have to offer for your vehicle
(copy & paste into your browser).

@quietspace137 It depends on the year, make and model of the vehicle. Most
vehicle will have one. and some vehicles may have a coil pack that is made
up of more than one coil.
We currently do not have a YouTube video that shows you how to make this
particular repair. We’ll keep this in mind during any future repairs that
we may make to this type of vehicle.
It shouldn’t but it wouldn’t hurt to replace it. You may want to check to
see if it has spark and fule pressure.
These videos are great! How about a video on changing the back 3 spark
plugs on a 2003 Venture?
what does it do exactly, the ignition coil
Hi my car does not go as it should, when I try to accelerate from 0 it
slowly up to 2000 rpm and then accelerates as usual. Have changed spark
plugs a few months ago and watched today how they looked, and two of them
are white while two of them are yellow. The spark plug on cylinder 1 and 2
are yellow. I have a Mitsubishi Lancer 1.6 engine 1994 model. PLEASE help
me, what could be the problem?
This particular vehicle has 3 coils. 6 Cylinders = 6 Spark Plug Wires. 2
Wires per coil. 3 coils.
@ncxmaslights It’s one of the components that provide spark to your vehicle
to ignite the spark plugs.
If this tends to happen when the vehicle’s warm you may want to check the
catylitic convertor. If there’s any type of check engine light on, you
should pull the code to see what could be causing the issue. 1aauto.com

wow if u took off the plastic engine cover it wouldve been easier
If the coils aren’t properly torqued or tightened will that affect drive
ability
That black plastic cover above the engine cover tough, on the cowl, that
comes right off and you have a bit more room to move.
How many ignition coils are on a V6?
Is there a difference between coils and a coil pack? I have an ’02 Grand Am.
@floppycock9 The plastic cover is a nice smooth surface to rest your arm
on. removing it does not improve the clearance behind the engine which is
where you are working.
would this be the problem for my 97 chev venture..it keeps turning over and
won’t start up just turns and turns but its getting gas..put a diagnostic
on it and it read p0140 02 sensor circuit but i dont’ think oxygen sensor
would have anything to do with it starting right?
