Well that’s part of the problem. Tranny fluid should be changes about every 40K to 50K, not at 100K or 150K. My jeep tranny which is a toyota aw4 I’ve changed mine every 40K on the nose and we are about to hit 192K on it and the engine on our way to 300K. So change it more often and keep good maintenance records

If it does not slip an it drives fine , leave it alone, draining it can run the risk of it not working at all. I had a Gm car i changed the fluid with 108,000 miles on it when it was done it slipped bad. the sludge holds it together. Certified GM technician here
