Hey Steve, Good job on coming up with the spark plug socket / strut nut removal tool! One thing I’ve realized is that some clunking issues I’ve had in the front end before ended up being sway bar bushings. I see your struts had some play, so no doubt that was your issue…just something for you to consider next time.
I like the way they set it up so that a spark plug socket will work, not needing another specialty tool. I think most of us would have done it the more dangerous way of putting vice grips onto the shaft, risking movement in those Macpherson strut compressors. Your way is better, if possible.
