working on this car caused this to happen as well… That paint should make
a fair comeback with some compound or the like.

Maybe the PO had one too many beers when working on that car, but didn’t
finish. Then they had to go pick the kids up from school. Hours later they
finished it. Maybe that’s why the brakes were hacked? lol

How about the axle shaft seal? If it got soaked with brake fluid, it’s
likely to fail next. And you’re right. Those clip in wheel cylinders SUCK.
My Cutlass has those and they are a pain to change.
