I do trust solid gaskets but if done right the silicone can be done and
works very well. But as you stated it is a pain in the ass to clean up. I
went with the plastic core gasket they are the most expensive ones but they
do not need any kind of sealant of any kind. so replacing it would be a
breeze and you can take them off and on and still reuse them. You just
can’t over torque otherwise it crushes the plastic in the middle and makes
the gasket useless.
