gnichs001 says:

Excellent vid and even better ‘patter’ explaining what you’re doing. I’d
suggest you try to use a tripod for viewing some of the engine parts just
to make it a bit clearer what you are pointing to, but this has been a
great help.

GR GardenRetail says:

Fantastic video, great and easy to understand

Blondets1 says:

Brings back memories to when i changed out the glow plugs on my old 79 VW
Rabbitt Diesel

diggerproud1 says:

Good video & I was interested to hear your thoughts on the EGR cos I have
smoke issues with my mazda engined Vitara & think it could possibly be the
problem.

Shane Pudner says:

Excellent video, having mostly driven Petrol before this was just what I
needed to know about Diesels. I had all the symptoms you mentioned for
suspect plugs so I guess I’m spending my bank holiday buying new ones and
not cheap ones. Thanks 🙂

darrenmcardle says:

Thanks for this, I took the job on on merit of this video, thanks for the

chris42999 says:

Thanks! A bit about removing the manifold. It is always a struggle to
remove these. They are wedged in tight with a fat O ring on each of the
four ends. Place the biggest flat bladed screwdriver available and wedge it
at the back..between the Plastic Manifold and the Alu Manifold and start
one by one to separate the two bits. Move them about half a centimeter
apart and move to the next then start again and from the first and they
will grudgingly pop off. Trying to yank or lever it off wont do.

HenrikRingholmAnders says:

It is the same,I did it yesterday. And this cold frosty morning it started
like a dream. Please use a tripod if you want to broadcast.

Thunderchild55 says:

Great video Thanks for taking the time to do it. Will save me about £50 if
I had the garage do it. including buying plugs online.

tgardone says:

Good information, doesn’t look too terribly complicated.

@ssr1234rss like you,

Mal Nisbett says:

great vid mate, just managed to get my manifold off and remove the first
plug but unfortuantely the glow plug ive been sent if too large! Its not
thin loke the one you have in your vid. Mine is a 99 Citroen Zsara but it
seems the engine is actually the same plug fitting as the 00 onwards
engines! Cheers

jarrus464 says:

is the other half of the manifold alloy instead of plastic like the XUD?
(half plastic and half alloy?

Adam Cleminson says:

is that a lucas fuel injection pump or a bosch pump, how do you adjust the
fueling on that pump? A video would be great on how to adjust it if you’ve
got a pump on the bench. Great videos by the way, really enjoy watching
them.

plasticdan says:

Fabulous. Thanks.

Bruceleesnunchuck says:

If I remember correctly those bolts that retain the manifold are DIFFERENT
SIZES? 5mm and 6mm hex head? On a Citroen dispatch van you can’t even see
them,bitch of a job!

BILBO JENNKINS says:

Great video. I need to change glow plugs in my berlingo. Hoping its the
same!!
