Maybe not the bearing or guide issue? Could possibly be the driver resting his foot on the clutch pedal while driving, or sitting in gear at traffic lights or junctions while engaging the clutch? The bearings are designed to work best while changing gear and not designed to work overtime spinning away unnecessarily while they can overheat! Just a thought.
Hey i have a 607 and the gears dont work, there is absolutely no odd sounds to the gearbox or anything of a sort, when cold it can drive normally for a while, but after a few mins, the gearbox just doesnt work,we are thinking its the clutch. What do you think?
This gearbox 1.6 or 1.4?

Is the seal a part of the guide?
Almost as bad as mine, only i had to sweep my bearing out of the bell housing, and half (ok about 20%) of my control arm was worn away.
