The car was in limp mode and billowing black smoke. Your problem sounds
like one I had not so long ago. It was the vcum pipe off the turbo.

What was the symptoms of the injector. I have a 807 2.0hdi the anti
pollution light came on since its got cold here. The engine is a bit tappy
since then but runs fine and drives OK. Perhaps a bit under powers below 2k
revs but goes like thunder above 2k rpm as if a slight reduction in boost
on setting off. Hmm dunno if that is normal…

Thanks , ordered some Innotec stuff rite now , can’t wait to try it out on
my Talbot express diesel c.van with a no. 4 injector seized where rain had
been running past a poorly fitted air intake seal and wetting the top of
the engine probably for years also the glow plug looks corroded and that
a head off job if that breaks .

Jude Birks says:

Oh the engine is also still in the car.

I worked on them 3-4 days a week for about 4 weeks, i replaced the ‘rocker
cover’ with a secondhand one and i not sure if its not a good fit but 3
weeks later the cam sprocket sheared its woodruff key and the head
sustained damage. So had to get a recon head!!!!! pffft typical.

Bob Tipler says:

we had the same problem and eventually gave up! How many hours do you think
it took you to get them all out including stripping away and replacing the
bits of the engine that you needed to?
