im Video benutze ich Petec. Ähnliche Produkte gibt es aber auch von Loctite oder Hylomar. Zumindest eines dieser Produkte sollte jeder Teilehändler im Programm haben. Wichtig ist,, dass die benutzte Dichtungsmasse einer Temperatur von min. 150°C stand hält.
Wo kam denn diese Flächendichtungsmasse kaufen ??

Here’s an update on my snapped waterpump bolt. After practically taking the engine out, I noticed the waterpump housing can be seperated from the block without removing the engine. Four bolts hold it onto the back of the block, also a large hose will need to be removed from the back of the housing, the retaining clip is quite fiddley to undo.
As I removed engine mounts, drive shafts etc, access to housing was easy but it shouldn’t be a problem without going to all the hassle that I did.
Sorry, this was a misunderstanding. I thought you wanted just to remove the bolt. But now I understand that the bolt is broken and the rest remains in the engine block. zyccy removed the engine to solve the problem. If you think you have access enough without the enigne mount, do it. To remove it, is very simple, you just need a tool like I show in the videos on the Passat engine mounts.
How did you get access to the bolt by not removing both engine mounts? Did you lower the engine or jack it up? So far I’ve disconnected the plumbing to the rad, vacumn tubes, exhaust, offside driveshaft, both engine mounts & still haven’t been able to get a drill at the bolt. Next I’m going take out the nearside driveshaft & disassemble the gear linkage.
I was prepared to remove the right engine mount, because in my instruction they wrote that it will be necessary. But the job wasn’t a problem keeping the mount in place.
The exact same thing has just happened to me. Did you try removing the engine mounts and offside driveshaft so you could gain more access to the bolt by letting the engine drop down on one side? This is my next move as I don’t have a garage or a hoist.

I did waterpump replacement and the 12mm bolt broke into the engine, had to remove the engine to drill it out and retap. The easy job could be a nigthmare!
