Worked a treat! bought some black window seal sponge just so it didnt look
out of place. Only fixed it due to me selling it but I wish I had done it a
long time ago!
It works, you don’t have to use Scotch brite i used a minky black sponge
after a few attempts it worked, you have to trim the sponge a little
otherwise there is no indication at all, make sure there is less sponge at
the top of the indicator so trim the sponge there the black color makes it
look perfect 🙂
A good simple fix, i never knew about that back when i changed the com2000
for a new one last year it cost £120 for a new one. This is definatley more
cost effective, and tidier than the elastic band method. Great video thanks.
i change that x2 times
so its not just me! nice one
Thanks lol
Thank you. Works a treat.
Let us know how you get on , $1,200 thats crazy lol
Mine passed MOT the past 3 years with the sponge in.
what exactly do you do with the sponge? Poke a hole through the middle, or
just cut it up into pieces?
COOL I am going to be trying this, cheers buddy 🙂

You, my dear are a genius. Thanks for sharing. Just a question, will I need
to get it fixed properly to pass the mot?
brilliant…made me smile.
@daurnimator poke a hole , put it over the top , then push it in around
sides until it works
This is brilliant. I did it slighlty differently but the idea is fantastic!
Thanks dude!

I’ve been having this problem lately. This was a 30 second fix (if you
exclude the time it took to cut the green stuff off the pad)!
