I have a random question. At night when i turn on my lights…my left
headlight is normal where as my right headlight is on its high beam. Would
you happen to know how to fix this? i hate driving with one normal light
and one high beam light.
Thanks for the tip! Got my mom’s TBSS’s headlights working again.
Skip, you are a lifesaver. This turned out to be my exact problem. Thanks
for the tip!
Thank you for taking the time to film and post. Thankful you took this
step-by-step!! Very helpful!!
Many thanks for creating order out of the chaos that is modern auto
electronics. Relays hardly ever go bad, so the HDM solid state relay was
low on the check list for my 2008 Saab 97x headlight problem. This video
put it near the top of the list… problem solved! Probably saved several
hours of troubleshooting. Funny, though… the ’08 Saab has no relay for
the fan clutch to do the quick check.
BTW, same part # for Saab – Duralast 20601 to replace OEM ACDelco 10516745.
Thank you soo much this video worked..I have 2003 trailblazer and ive been
driving with no low beams .alot of places either had no idea or couple
places wanted to charge me 400.00 without ur help id still feel helpless.
Im a single gma and ur a life saver. I hope u have more videos to come for
trailblazers. This reminds me back in the day u can ask a question and it
doesnt cost u. God I miss great people like u.
You are a life saver! I know almost nothing about cars, and I used this
video and fixed it all on my own. Thank you!
Thanks man. Ligjts went out a few days ago. Found your video and it worked.
Would have probably been taken to the cleaners by a repair shop.
Thank you very much for an in-depth review of low beams out…it helped me
a bunch. Keep smilin’…and thank you, again… Lee
Thanks this video saves a lot of time without removing unnecessary items.
The passenger side headlights are easily reached by removing the air filter
container and the filter(big black box) 3 screws and it is off. You may
have to loosen the top 2 screws for the hood prop holder to pull the
radiator bypass hose up and out of the way for the air filter container.
This adds a lot of room to maneuver. The lights are easily turned by
pressing them in slightly. Pull the clip up on the light and unplug. Took
me 7 minutes to replace the passenger side low beam.
Great info! This saved me a few bucks and unnecessary work…
Thanks, just saved me $45’s. Thought it was the head light switch that
needed to be replaced.
thank you VERY VERY MUCH . WE’RE ON VACATION AND THE LOW BEAMS WENT OUT .
THE LOCAL AUTOZONE GUY DID’NT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT , BUT YOUR VIDEO FIXED THE
PROBLEM. THANK YOU , YOU SAVED ME TIME AND MONEY
Thank YOU! Saved us so much time and money! tested by changing the 45 and
46 relays and the headlights worked. Went to autozone and bought a new
relay. 30 mins and $37 all said and done. Thank you sir!
Worked like a charm. Have a 2006 GMC Envoy, Everything was a exactly the
same. Thank you so much for taking the time to make and post the video.
Thank you for posting this. Just had the same issue on my 2007 TB this
morning. Off to get a new relay as soon as the store opens.
Many, many thanks for this. Just saved me hours of messing around and the
risk of buying a whole bunch of stuff I don’t need. Great knowledge share.
Thanks for taking the time.
My mom TB did the same thing to nite I take out all the low & high beam
fuses still nun and take out all the bulbs still nun then I looked this

This video JUST SAVED my life thank u
My low beams were working earlier this morning and this evening they
stopped. It’s a 2005 Trailblazer so I’m assuming it’s the same kind of fix?
My high beams, DRLs, fog lights and parking lights worked fine. In the
morning I’ll go to Auto Zone for the #46 relay, hoping that’ll fix the
problem!
This video JUST SAVED my life thank u
Skip, YOU are the MAN! THANK YOU! You saved me a LOT of trouble shooting!
THANK YOU!
It worked like a charm when I switched the to solid state relays… You are
a life saver!!!
THANK you SO MUCH! This was exactly our problem!
We took it to Chevy paid way to much and they still couldn’t figure out the
problem, we changed the whole headlamp on both the right and left lights,
changed out the light switch in the truck and still nothing, have been
driving with high beams for over a year. Looked this up and ur a life
saver. Thank you so much was gonna trade in my truck bc of this problem, u
just saved me a whole lotta money !!!!!!!
Thank you saved me. I was
Is this the same for a 2008 Saab 9-7X? Thanks
Yesterday I had the drivers door panel switches replaced. They had a recall
and mine shorted out. Today I had no low beams. thank you for this head ups
on the relays it solved that problem
Thank you very much… 2005 trailblazer extended… this was my issue..
even though the video shakeyness gave me a bit of spasms!!!!! HAH… side
note.. 3 nights ago my neighbor told me my wifes tb lights were on. I went
out and shut them off… come to find out it was the relay started to
melt… somehow tripped the lights on… and when i shut it off.. must have
been that fine line when relay finally died. with that I just looked at the
relay and it is melted… ughhhhh
You are a life saver had the same issues going to auto zone to buy the
relay thank ssss
you probably have a dead bulb too
Interestingly, the 2008 Chevy TrailBlazer SS (the one I own) doesn’t have a
45 and a 46 that you can swap out. In fact, the HDM is labeled #46, and
it’s the ONLY relay in the entire fuse block that has that unique 4-pin
layout (3 on one side and 1 on the other, rather than 2 and 2). So I’ve got
to head to the AutoZone tomorrow to see if they have the HDM, and to see if
that fixes the problem!
Only question is why you own an SS model with crap wheels? Thanks for the
info
I look right on YouTube and you where right on i never even sweated . I
cant tell how much im thankful
THANK YOU!!!! Mr. SS, you were correct. I have a 2003 Trailblazer and I had
the same problem that you describe and sure thing the fix was that relay,
and one light bulb. THANK YOU once again. You just saved me a bunch of
money. I really, really appreciated, may God bless you, and your family!!!
Nice vid, you saved me a lot of time and testing this weekend. thanks!
wash me please
Worked like a charm. Thank you.
I have the SS rims in my basement. For a daily, the base model rims are
cheaper to buy tires for. Also rides better. The SS 20s are mostly for
show, not actual performance.
coul yoyr turn of the motor to listening very well please? thanks.
Yes .. should be the same, same GMT360 platform.
thank you so much ,you just saved me drama.. i already changed the bulb. i
wished i would have looked it up first.. all good know..
If this happens to you at night, as it did to me, you can still turn on the
brights to get home as they will still work
This video JUST SAVED my life thank u
only one of my lights came on
